NABI organized a three day Computational Biology Workshop

National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI),an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India; organized a three-day ‘NABI Computational Biology Workshop’ from March 12th to 14th, 2018 on NABI campus in Knowledge City Sector 81, Mohali.
Leading scientists in the field of computational biology from leading research institutes participated, delivered scientific lectures and provided hands-on sessions in the state-of-the-art supercomputing HPC facility of NABI; in computational biology and genome-analysis techniques. Highlights of the workshop were expert-talks by Dr. GPS Raghava from IIIT Delhi, Dr. Shandar Ahmad from JNU, Dr. Mukesh Jain from JNU, Ms Ruma Banerjee from CDAC Pune, Dr. Prabhu B. Patil from IMTech, Dr. T R Sharma, Dr. Joy K Roy and Sh. Shrikant Mantri from NABI.
A range of topics from basic bioinformatics to advanced big-data mining, genome assembly, supercomputing enabled annotation acceleration, genome-wide association analysis, genome and epigenome regulation etc. were covered.
